The BA in International Business will provide you with a distinctive and challenging undergraduate experience. The programme is structured around a broad and flexible curriculum with subject choices that will help you to understand how business decisions are undertaken in a globalised world shaped by political, social and legal issues. Choice and flexibility are central to the BA in International Business. This programme offers you a range of business modules; Economics, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Human Resources, Management, Accounting, Communications, Risk and Insurance. You can select modules from Politics, Sociology, History, Cultural Studies and Law. As part of your degree, you may also take a language option from the following suite: French; German; Spanish (beginners and advanced); Japanese for beginners. Throughout the programme, you may choose modules that are most interesting for your own career goals.

An international study/work placement for a full academic year is a core part of the programme. This international experience will allow you to attend university in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia. Having the chance to push your learning in a new environment is a challenging and exciting part of the programme.

What are the main aspects points of the programme?

• Over 100 modules to select from. Students can select based on their interests and aptitudes.
• Students can specialise, pursuing business disciplines such as accountancy, economics, marketing, human resource management, and risk management.
• Students can access to professional body exemptions, such as accountancy, dependent on their module choice.
• Students can avail of choosing an array of specialised modules from disciplines such as law, psychology, sociology, politics and history, which equips with a broad depth of knowledge suitable for the globalised work environment.
• Students can avail of language tracks if they so wish, choosing from French, German, Spanish, Japanese for Beginners, or Spanish for Beginners.
• Foreign paid work experience. Students spend up to eight months working in an international business environment. Students have worked in France, Spain, Luxembourg, Germany, even Vietnam.
• Students study in a foreign university for one semester. We have partnerships with over 75 business schools around the world, throughout Europe, Asia -Pacific, and the Americas. New partners this year include Texas A&M, Peru, & Sao Paulo.
• Dual Degree pathway - Option to get a BA in International Business & a BBA in International Business from Kedge Business School (France). Students who study at both institutions get two degrees. Kedge is one of Europes top business schools.
• The completion of a specialised individual research project.

Career opportunities will be varied and dependent on the specialist skills developed through your subject choices. You can focus your studies in disciplines such as accounting, risk management, marketing, human resources and economics.
